Preschool

Springdale Preschool

Springdale Preschool, founded in 1960 as an educational outreach of Springdale Presbyterian Church, offers both an educational and innovative program for young children,  based upon the strong belief that each child is a unique individual with special and differing needs. The preschool program is licensed by the Cabinet for Human Resources (Division of Licensing & Regulation).

The Director coordinates a staff comprised of experienced, certified, teachers.  These dedicated professionals strive to help each child develop a positive attitude toward school and learning.  As educators, their goal is to instill skills and attitudes that will give each child a strong foundation for their future.  The preschool Board of Advisors includes church members, and parents and is ultimately responsible to the SPC Session.

Springdale Preschool offers an outstanding curriculum appropriate for each age level.  The program allows each child to develop physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually.  Students are provided with a variety of concrete experiences implemented through units of study, field trips, music, children’s literature, art and media, cultural resources, and a chapel time offered through the church.  The school has well-equipped outdoor and indoor play areas.  Each year students are screened for speech and hearing concerns.

Advanced Registration is open to SPC members, current students moving up and siblings.  Open registration for the community begins the first week in February. Regristrations continue to be accepted as long as openings are available.
