The d365 daily devotional series is written especially for students and seeks to provide reflections on themes that impact the faith journey. In the midst of busy or boring days, these sites will create a quiet space for contemplation and prayer.

Precious Lord, please grant our nation and all nations your grace in saving us from political divisions and conflict over superficial divisions. Lift up for us the common heritage that unites us, as we are all brothers and sisters in your eyes. Please grant us an election process which will unite and reconcile us, and leaders with the wisdom to build a well ordered and caring society. Families and nations are being molded by the financial upheaval-not in good ways. Please help us as a church, and us as a nation to keep in mind those who are the least fortunate. Help us to use the strength of our faith in you as a source of assurance of our safety in this unsettled time, so that we can focus on those in need. Please give us the perspective to be neighborly to strangers, and to share your love in the ways that are taught by Jesus Christ.

Lord, the body of this little white Church is being molded as we address issues of choosing a new pastor, finances, and building communication and fellowship within our congregation. Please guide us as we discern how you want us to build this congregation. Give us the courage to spread your love actively in the world, even as we are worried about our own lives, and our church. Please help us to nourish each other in the faith. Please give us faith that you will guide this community and use our hands and hearts to mold this church to fit your goals.

Thank you God for this opportunity to be together tonight, for the wonderful people on Session and throughout the congregation. Please guide us as we continue to build your church. Amen.
